Radiesse® Des Moines
RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are dermal fillers that are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.
Volumizing Wrinkle Filler
Radiesse is an injectable filler that restores facial volume to smooth out wrinkles and lines. When injected, it tells your body to stimulate collagen production. For many patients, the results can last up to one year or longer.
At Coachlight Clinic & Spa, Dr. David Robbins can use Radiesse® to reduce unwanted wrinkles, restore facial volume and stimulate the production of more collagen in your skin. Radiesse is non-invasive and requires no downtime, so you can return to your normal routine right away.
* Individual results may vary.

Is Radiesse right for me?
If you are bothered by facial wrinkles, folds or aging hands, Radiesse may be right for you.
At Coachlight Clinic & Spa at Des Moines Plastic Surgery™, we can use Radiesse to treat age-related conditions like:
- Wrinkles around your nose and mouth
- Facial folds and lines
- Sunken, hollow-looking cheeks
- Back of aging hands
Candidates for Radiesse should be healthy adults between the age of 18 and 65.
How Radiesse Works
Radiesse is injected beneath your skin in the areas that need wrinkle correction. The filler restores volume to sunken areas, reducing the appearance of lines and contour depressions. You will see the results of the injection right away, as Radiesse immediately restores volume to the tissue.
After Radiesse treatments, your body will slowly produce more collagen, which means you will see results improve as time goes on.
How is Radiesse different?
What makes Radiesse unique is its ability to immediately restore lost volume while stimulating collagen production.
How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse replenishes volume in the skin, and then it stimulates your body to produce natural collagen. After a few months, your body absorbs Radiesse and leaves behind natural collagen, which lasts longer.
What is Radiesse made of?
Radiesse contains tiny calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a natural, water-based gel. Because these microspheres are similar to natural minerals in your body, allergy testing is not required.
What are the alternatives to Radiesse?
Alternatives to Radiesse include fillers and fat grafting treatments. Treatments with botulinum toxin can also improve signs of facial aging on the forehead and in the eye area.
What are possible side effects?Just like any injection, patients can experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising or tenderness at the treated area(s). Side effects usually resolve without treatment. If side effects persist, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
