Another treatment option that we offer for lip augmentation is called a “lip flip.” Rather than using a lip filler, this lip procedure features injections of Botox, a popular neuromodulator.

During a lip flip, Botox is injected into the Cupid’s bow area of the upper lip, along with the corners of the upper lip. This relaxes the muscles, which allows more of the upper lip to show, creating more volume. It can also address a gummy smile. The procedure only takes up to 20 minutes to perform.

The results of lip flip injections last for eight to twelve weeks; after this time, patients can return for maintenance treatments.

A “Lip Pop” uses approximately 1/2 a syringe (.55 ml) of filler to help improve a patient’s overall shape, giving it a hydrated appearance and subtle volume.
